This is my setup to video / photograph birds in 4K resolution (3840 x 2160) or slow motion in 1080p (1920 x 1080), 240 fps. The GoPro minimum focus distance is about 12 inches. In order, to reduce that distance and get super close-up images, I use either +4 or +10 close-up macro lens. Although, the GoPro doesn’t have the ability to accept additional lens, so I use an aluminum housing which does accept 52mm lens. With the GoPro smart phone app, I can control the recording remotely.
